NATIONAL GRADUATES TRAINING PROGRAM

National Graduate Training program is aimed at enhancing the employment of young Emiratis talents, who are taking their first step in their career. The program is sponsored by MOHRE in order to provide young job seekers with an opportunity of learning , development and employability enhancement. While providing various employers from the private sector with the demanded talents and competencies, monitoring the trainee development and providing on going training and coaching. The program also supports in developing a pipeline of trained UAE nationals who can potentially become future employees within the establishment.

Graduates willing to be part of the GT program should hold a bachelor degree from an accredited institution in the last 3 years, be less than 27 years old and should not have worked for more than a year.

GT PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

MOHRE launched the GT program initiative to support the young Emirati talent and the establishments who are willing to oversee and mentor the young talent to ensure their development, with the following objectives:

  • Enhance the participation of national talent in the private sector.
  • Improve the technical and behavioural competencies of Emiratis to be in line with the requirements of sectors and occuptations
  • Reduce costs of participating establishments, while ensuring that the young competencies are directed and integrated in alignment with their interest and characteristics.
  • Offer a unique brand strategy to illustrate the national competencies adopted by MOHRE

ESTABLISHMENTS

Establishments joining the GT program are required to do the following:

  • Provide a monthly salary for the entire minimum training period. With respect to contracts associated with training that leads to employment, and federal pension authority obligations will be required.
  • Provide a program period that can range from a minimum of 6 months up to a maximum of 18 months. Graduate trainees eligible for a permanent full time employment should be provided a confirmation within a 12 months timeframe.
  • Provide job description for the targeted roles within the first 6 months of joining.
  • Support in developing the Personal Development Plans (PDP) for the concerned GT. The PDP should focus on the enhancement of relevant technical and soft skills as well as competencies development.
  • Employment confirmation upon completing the assigned Personal Development Plan (PDP). This applies to contracts that provide employment option.

  • Support Establishments in identifying fresh graduating UAE nationals
  • Support in articulating a Personal Development Plan (PDP)
  • Provide customized training programs aimed at developing the technical and behavioral competencies required in the job as specified in the PDP. The Target is provide 40 to 60 hours of training that includes career coaching.
Ngt Roles

GRADUATE TRAINEE

  • For GT contracts that confirm employment, the confirmed GTs are required to serve the establishment for a minimum period that is equivalent to the time spent in the training.
